Let's get one thing straight from the outset. I am not a photographer, I am a self confesseed 'Happy snapper', and I'm extremely content with that title.

Nothing in my life is taken seriously, because I fundamentally believe that life is far too short and precious a comodity to waste on the persuit of vanity inspired greatness.

I've snapped away since time began (back in the sixties in my case), and have always loved photography and the ability to capture a frame in life which is never to be repeated.

I'll hopefully die with a camera in my hand and record my final breath. But taking things seriously... God forbid!

 

Some of the photos contained here date back to European travels from 1983 to the present day.

Early photographs were taken using a humble Olympus Trip 35mm, and later a Minolta X300 SLR 35mm, and a Pentax SLR. In 2007 I purchased a Nikon D80 Digital SLR which is one of the most fantastic cameras I've ever used.

In May 2008 I splashed out on a Nikon D300 which still blows me away and far exceeds my feable skills
