'THE THREE GRACES' FOUNTAIN, NIGHTFALL, KENT
MAY 7 2008
My beloved Grandfather passed away just recently, and my parents very kindly allowed us to have a prized rhodedendron from his award winning front garden, and his wonderful 'THREE GRACES' water fountain, which now takes pride of place in our garden..
Sitting in the garden listening to the twittering of a multitude of different birds, to a backdrop of gently tumbling water from the fountain, puts the rigors of the day into context somehow.
I was curious to see how the water would appear at night, with minimal light, and shot this using just the light of a torch held in one hand, the camera in the other. Overhead, a quarter phase of the majestic moon beamed down on my bizarre antics, with our cats merrily chasing the shadows on the wall with demented excitement.
