How could a flawed and simple man make a mends for the obvious and deep wounding hurt he had caused the lady in his life?
The films glamorised the foolish minstral who, by the light of the moon, sat mournfully beneath his lovers window, strumming on a guitar and singing the words to a tear jerking love song which subsequently elevated him to hero stature, and into the arms of said swooning maiden with happy ending guaranteed.
Right here and now, the foolish minstral plucked vigorously at the out of tune, three stringed loot, receiving merely a barrage of obscenities from the occupants of the block of flats, a warning from the police to move on or else face prosecution, fifty pence and two wing nuts from a handful of sympathetic passers by, and confirmation that his lover had packed her bags and fled for a weekend at her parents house in Essex!
Love can be so cruel
