TRAFALGAR SQUARE
LONDON
OCTOBER 27 2007
Gawd blimey guvnor, that's better!
Me plates of meat 'ave been absolutely killing me in this bloomin' heat. The current bun's been shining down all morning and me temperature's been on the up'n up, and not just because of the saucy young feathery strumpets who've 'ad me in a right old two 'an eight all morning, if you catch me drift.
So Red Ken thought he'd put a stop to us pigeons congregating for a chin wag in Trafalgar square by banning human folk from feeding us, eh? Never gonna work, me old mucker, now is it?
You see, those punters find us absolutely irresistible come summer time, and despite the seed vendors being moved on rather unceremoniously, there's never a shortage of food titbits from camera snapping tourists. Especially the stumpy sawn offs in the push along prams who don't seem able to find their tiny mouths with the grub they are given. Never mind, would be rude to decline such offerings don't you think?
Cor, that's better, letting the air get to my body as I fan my plumage out. Would you Adam and Eve it, just gotta give my best side to a Japanese Human with a Pentax. There ya go luv, that'll be a piece of your daughter's cornish pasty for payment if you'd be so kind. Luvverly Jubberly.
Red Ken, if only he were here now. I'd aim a few carefully guided torpedo's from a great height in his direction, and no mistaking!
Allo, one of those saucy strumpets is giving me the eye. Best foot forward old son, I feel a ruffled neck plumage display and a bit of the old two step shuffle coming on....
Step aside now, let the dog see the rabbit!
