THE CABLE CAR RIDE DOWN FROM
GROUSE MOUNTAIN, VANCOUVER, CANADA
31 MARCH 2007 13.08 LOCAL TIME
During our annual month's holiday over to our family in Canada, we always include a stay in Vancouver, one of my very favourite cities.
On this particular occasion, my Nephew David and his Fiancee were our genial hosts on a wonderful day, beginning with breakfast up in the snowy winter wonderland of Grouse Mountain, along with a walk across the Capilano suspension bridge with me still on a pair of crutches following A High Tibial Osteotomy operation.
Descending from the white blanket of thick snow, the cable car pushed through the clouds, emerging into the warm sunshine of the world below once more. Tightly packed, liked sardines in a tin, making intimate contact with the snowboarders and tourists alike, I rattled off a few shots through the smudged perspex.
A wonderful memory
